Institutionalize the PAHO Initiative for the Elimination of Communicable Diseases and Related Conditions as the major strategic and political opportunity for regional stakeholders to work toward the control and elimination of multiple diseases, including vector-borne, neglected, vaccine-preventable, and zoonotic diseases, with a focus on populations in situations of vulnerability and interventions across the life course.
Strengthen governance, stewardship, and financing of disease control and elimination programs.
Address the environmental and social determinants of health, such as poverty, gender equality, access to clean water and air, and effective waste management, among others.
Support countries
